The objective was to turn a bathroom that had an unused oversized tub, an undersized neo-angle shower, and an outdated make-up counter into a functional “master suite” with a walk-in shower and lots of storage.
A complete gut was required, a new curved wall and privacy half-wall was constructed.
A new walk-in shower with shaving bench was constructed and tiled using matching travertine and porcelain with two glass listello accent bands.
An oil rubbed bronze mixing valve with diverter allows the matching rain style showerhead and adjustable hand held sprayer to be used alone or simultaneously.
Plumbing was re-routed to accommodate a custom crafted maple raised panel “wall of cabinetry” capped with an elegant polished granite top and glass vessel sink. A single handle oil rubbed bronze “Kohler” faucet matches the cabinet hardware. Glass tile surrounding the two vanity mirrors carries the theme from the shower accent bands.
An oversized porcelain tile floor was installed in a brick pattern with matching bullnose base trim.
A custom jewelry pull-out “pocket cabinet” was installed in the privacy wall, and made great use of otherwise wasted space.
Lighting consisted of four 14″ recessed canister lights, two 6″ recessed canister lights with diffusers, an oil rubbed bronze chandelier, a bath fan/light combo, and a light/heat combo.
