Well, the house is more or less done as it relates to the vision I held for so long.
The addition and the capture and re-purposing of under utilized spaces worked out perfectly. I think I’ve flip-flopped just about everything in the house that’s flip-flop able including rooms, stairs, closets, plumbing, electrics, entry ways and doors.
Inside and out everything looks beautiful. The exterior redesign, new kitchen, windows, floors, and now a new bathroom have changed a small, nearly substandard, structure into something that is modern and cozy by today’s standards.
Once I made a choice and commitment to go ahead with a project this large, there was no turning back. I spent a lot of time researching magazines and books.
I also spent a lot of time looking for just the right contractor and I’m really glad I found you. I knew right away that Mukwonago was the right choice and through the entire process you’ve always exceeded my expectations. I have always appreciated your level of skills, professionalism, customer service, and friendliness.
Thank you so much for all your help!!
This was a fantastic experience from first contact through writing the final check. It was the first time I was excited to part with my money but our kitchen was beautiful. I will use Mukwonago Remodeling without hesitation. There are always issues when you open walls in a 100 year old house and our project was no exception. The foreman of our project did a great job of keeping us informed of these developments. More importantly, I know our home is safe and sound after they discovered a potentially deadly issue with our chimney. They corrected that and a few other minor things, too. In the end, it was done right and that helps me sleep at night. The pricing model is fantastic in that you get a real price. You can splurge (we did) but you have opportunity to cut some costs. The big thing is you know how much it costs before you get the bill. Our designer was involved from the beginning, listened to our ideas and streamlined our decision making process. She Walked through our house to get a feel for our style. Then she incorporated them into a final design that exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship is what I would call “old world”. They pay attention to the details and use quality materials. The final result is we love our new kitchen!
We turned to Angie’s List when we were initially looking for someone to do some remodeling for us at our log cabin. After calling and personally interviewing several remodelers, we selected Mukwonago Remodeling for the job. The owner, Bob Riemer, seemed very knowledgeable about all aspects of building and remodeling. He provided good advice on how to go about the 3 projects that we were interested in doing. He priced each project separately and gave a very detailed bid so we knew exactly what we were paying for. The final bid was very competitive with those we received from the other companies we interviewed.
We knew from the start that Bob would be a good person to work with. He was very responsive during the bidding process and once we agreed on the terms, the job went like clockwork. We had a general idea of what we wanted done, and Bob provided his expertise to help us fine tune the plan. When unexpected problems came up during the project, Mukwonago Remodeling contacted us and they were able to come up with a solution. If we ever had questions about the project, it was very easy to contact Bob, either directly or through the business office. The people in the office were very responsive and pleasant to work with, and always made sure that our questions were answered.
It was a pleasure to work with Mukwonago Remodeling, and we would definitely call on them again if we had another project to do. We highly recommend them.
Bob and I want to thank you for your professional workmanship during our home improvement project.
When you said you were starting on June 25th at 8:00am, you meant it!
And every promise you made you kept that is the hallmark of a true professional.
With thanks and best wishes for continued success.
Brian our project manager was great to work with. The electrician and carpenter were excellent as well as the individual who did the tile work. They were all very knowledgeable and professional. My husband was on the site many days and they were very amenable to any suggestions he had. He had nothing but great things to say about all of the workers.
Working with all the employees at Mukwonago has been a great experience. Scott really had a vision for what could be done to our kitchen and based on our lifestyle really brought our dream kitchen to life. Our project manager was very responsive to any questions we had and always made adjustments along the way to make our life easier. All of the workers were very professional and knowledgeable. They were all great to work with and even tolerated our barking dogs!! Thank you to all of you for bringing the vision to reality.
Communication and quality of the work was excellent. This was the 2nd time we used them and would do it again.
We had Mukwonago Remodeling completely gut and remodel our kitchen and bathroom last Fall and were very impressed with their quality of work, professionalism and communication of scheduled activities so we hired them to redo all of our woodwork and interior/exterior doors throught the balance of the house in February. Again the quality of the work was top notch and we have been receiving rave reviews about out remodel. One of the reasons we chose this company was their reviews on Angies List and the fact that they have their own electrician, plumber, carpenters, tilers and designer on staff and they custom build their own cabinets. Pricing was competitive. If we decide to remodel our basement, they will be the company of choice.
This is a question that is really a positive for Mukwonago Remodeling. Because expectations were so clearly set forth at the start of the project I can honestly say there were none.
Their ideas on the re-design of the kitchen were what sold us in the first place. Then the quality of the workmanship and materials was exceptional. Finally, the character and personality of the people involved (with one lone exception) made the project truly enjoyable. The inclusion of an interior designer was a great help as well.
Our experience in working with Mukwonago Remodeling on our kitchen renovation was truly enjoyable. Their initial concepts, design drawings, quality workmanship and materials, project management/communication and cost competitiveness is what sold us. The people that performed the work were all professional, meticulous, courteous and best of all friendly. When any issues came up they were resolved to our complete satisfaction in a timely manner. This is a contractor that I am very happy to recommend to anyone.
Everyone was really wonderful to work with. They’ve all done all I’ve asked all along the way. initially, it was particularly helpful to see some footprint and 3D renderings with itemized descriptions and quote. Other places wanted be to first hire an architect, have a plan drawn up and then have it quoted. I was reluctant to put a couple thousand into a plan for fear I wouldn’t be able to afford the project after it was quoted. Bob was willing to give me a couple of options and work in phases to get the project done as I wanted.
I met Bob at the 2012 Spring Home and Remodeling Show (State Fair Expo Center). I liked Bob and was first impressed that so much of the work was done inhouse (not subbed out). I later checked them out on Angie’s List and was pleased.
Great experience overall! I have not hesitated to recommend Mukwonago Remodeling to friends and clients and will look forward to future projects with them. Price, quality of work, responsiveness, flexibility, genuinely nice people to work with – all Thumbs Up!
Completely satisfied with experience.
Brian, project manager was extremely helpful and accommodating. Diana offered great design input. Appreciated the suggestions and input from members of your staff and contractors. Enjoyed working with Scott once again.
We will be using Mukwonago Remodeling services in the future.
I was satisfied with everything, there were no problems at all.
We first heard about Mukwonago Remodeling at a home show and we are now returning customers.
Mukwonago Remodeling has great people, quality workmanship, and competitive pricing. The employees are courteous, and we do not hesitate to call them.
We are highly satisfied with the job.
I was most satisfied with how the owner came out to give me a quote the next day. When the date was set up they came at the time and they took about two and half weeks for it to be done. They were great and clean.
They were great, prompt, listened to what I wanted and I would recommend them to anyone.
There were some glitches in the order of business, in the weather, and some things were a learning process (like the closed cell insulation, roof drainage and elevator) but the end result was superb.
Owner, Bob, worked with us one on one assuring that our plan became a reality. Honesty, work ethic, thoroughness of the crew were important because these are the values that keep people coming back. Everything was done with pride of workmanship, and there is nothing we sigh over as inadequate. I’d have to say we were most satisfied with the skill and professionalism that made the “MOST” part of your question apply to the entire job.
This was a complex project with need for ADA (disability) elements such as a walk in shower and grab bars. Mukwonago designed a superb vanity that allowed a normal vanity front to later be easily removed below a wheelchair access sink. The need for a walk in shower was well accommodated by tiler, John, and the design is remarked upon by everyone seeing the bathroom. We also needed an elevator in the middle of the house which was beautifully blended into the visual and traffic flow. This was accomplished with great patience and professionalism by project manager, Brian, as the regulations were changing during the course of the project. Innovative and imaginative design of door extensions by carpenter, Ben, allowed a governmental ouch to look awesome. A seven year old kitchen was upgraded with matching cabinetry to look like something out of Good Housekeeping magazine. The old and new just flow without any obvious differences, and the island was flipped without a hitch to become ever so functional and beautiful. Mukwonago worked well with other entities like Jim Maas’s Insulation for closed cell insulation application in a cantilevered space, Schmidt Flooring, Eric at Granite Direct, and Waupaca Elevator staff. We know their in-house staff and regular contacts by name and I could hug them all for their thoroughness and patience. Forgive me for not naming each and every one of you, but YOU know what you did and how much we appreciated it, so GO YOU! Would I recommend Mukwonago Remodeling to my friends? I already have. It is easy to appreciate their work.
It has been two months since the completion of our bathroom remodel. I apologize for taking so long to write to you.
First, let me tell you how much we are enjoying the new bathroom. What a change! We are kicking ourselves for not doing this sooner.
We now have a functional and beautiful room for which, we thank you.
The entire experience could not have been better. Having Brian as our project foreman made the messy job very bearable. Any questions or concern on our part was addressed immediately. The few changes we made along the way were taken care of without delay.
The crews that you had on site were very professional and courteous. We cannot believe how quickly some of the work was done. It was a pleasure watching the tile work being placed as the bathroom started coming together. Everyone who was working on the job is to be commended.
We thank you again and again for a fantastic, well-constructed project. Our home is so much better thanks to your hard work.
